Tacia Wheelock, DVM
Is from Northwestern Pennsylvania. She always loved medicine and animals and was able to combine these two interests into a career in veterinary medicine. She is a graduate of The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine.
Continuing a family tradition of military service, Dr. Tacia after graduation commissioned as a Captain in the US Army Veterinary Corps. Her duty stations included Norfolk Naval Base (Virginia), Kitsap Naval Base (Washington), Incirlik Air Base (Turkey), and Naval Support Station Bahrain. After proudly serving for 6 years, Dr Tacia decided to honorably separate from the Army and settle down in Southern Maryland.
Dr Tacia takes great pleasure in being part of her patients' and clients' lives. From their first puppy/kitten visit to their older years, it’s very rewarding to be part of their lives. She has a special interest in yearly visits and dabbles in dermatology.
In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband, Tom, her son Nick, and their flame point Siamese named Killian.
